Consultations

The UKSBM wishes to regularly respond to relevant consultations to provide expertise, evidence and perspectives in behavioural medicine on behalf of its members. The UKSBM welcomes contributions from any members wishing to responses to consultations. The UKSBM welcomes contributions from any members wishing to responses to consultations. All calls will be posted online with an open invitation to members to contribute to the production of a response from the UKSBM. Member contributions to consultations will be recognised with the title of UKSBM Consultations Advisor. If you would like to lead or contribute to a response to a consultation or suggest a consultation that you think we should respond to please contact the UKSBM Fellow

Behaviour Change – Consultation on Draft NICE Guidance

NICE is developing public health guidance on Behaviour Change, partially updating PH6, and is currently looking for stakeholder comments on the provisional recommendations currently on their website, during an 8 week consultation with stakeholders. The consultation ends on the 31st of July 2013.

Consultation: NICE: Brief interventions and referral for smoking cessation – Consultation on the draft Review Proposal

NICE is holding a consultation on a draft review proposal to consider whether the guidance entitled ‘Brief interventions and referral for smoking cessation in primary care and other settings’ should be updated. The consultation is due to begin on Monday 29th April 2013, and will last for 2 weeks, with stakeholder comment forms to be submitted to NICE by Friday 10th May 2013. If you would like to be involved in commenting on this consultation, please contact the UKSBM general secretary by Monday 29th April 2013.

Consultation: Draft scope on NICE guidance for delaying onset of disability, frailty and dementia

The draft scope and the stakeholder comments form for NICE Public Health Guidance on delaying the onset of disability, frailty and dementia in later life are now online. The consultation on this draft scope will take place between 21st March 2013 – 18th April 2013.
