Job: 2 x studentships, Oxford University

What: Oxford University are offering two fully funded doctoral studentships in behavioural research.  One studentship, funded by the BHF, examines the reluctance of clinicians to engage in smoking cessation, addressing this through a systematic review, developing skills in instrumental variable analysis, and experimental work on framing theory.  The second, funded by Wolfson College and the Oxford and Thames Valley ARC, examines whether it is possible to engage young people in active weight management with an app and the public discourse about that.  The students would become members of the thriving Health Behaviours team in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences

Job: MRC PhD Studentship in Psychology, University of Bath

What: MRC PhD Studentship in Psychology ‘Cannabis, Tobacco and Psychiatric Disease: Isolating their Relationship by Comparing Data from Countries that Smoke Cannabis with and without Tobacco’. This PhD will ask – Can we isolate the relationships between cannabis, tobacco and psychiatric disease through triangulation of data from countries that smoke cannabis with, and without tobacco?
